A picture of a statue of the Buddah taken at the Rubin Museum of Art. It was not intentional, but in retrospect, the lighting was almost perfect, in relation to the statue and the contrast from bottom left to top right.

EDIT: A small sign was pointed out to me on the bottom right side, that I went back in and edited out.

I can fully agree with ~Ligers-mane - the lighting is perfect (than again, that's to be expected in a museum) but the background is to grainy and you need to get rid of that sign on the left.

Apart from that it's a good photo but nothing too special, I'm afraid. If you get another chance to go there try different angles, focus on some details, just play around a bit. One very important quality of a photographer is that they see details other might overlook so you need to train your eye and try to see things from different perspectives. Muesums are a good opportunity to do this because while hundreds of people walk by those statues every day, I doubt there are many who REALLY look at them in every way possible.

A lovely shot. You're right, the lighting in this piece is perfect, both highlighting his figure and blending it together in the shadows. The background could do with a little less grain, and a little smoother feel to it. Also, you might want to photoshop the sign out of the lower left corner, it is distracting to your image. Overall, a great job.

Yup...

The Buddha sort of takes all the attention, but seeing as I'm anal about details...
